Lucknow, June 21, 2025 – The Kartikeya Social Development Foundation successfully organized the “Yoga Sangam” program, sponsored by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, today at Gate No. 6 of Janeshwar Mishra Park in Gomti Nagar. This event was held on the occasion of International Yoga Day, with the primary objective of raising awareness among people about the importance of yoga and its health benefits.
Arjun Mahoday, a member of the Foundation, stated that through this program, they aim to convey the message to society that people should adopt yoga and lead a healthy life. He emphasized that nowadays people often consume English medicines for treating illnesses, which sometimes leads to other health problems. Yoga, he noted, is a natural way through which we can keep our bodies healthy and prevent diseases. “Our objective is to tell people that by adopting yoga, they can keep their lives healthy and reduce their dependence on English medicines,” said Arjun Mahoday.
A large number of people participated in this “Yoga Sangam” program and practiced various yoga asanas. The Foundation has also organized a similar yoga program at a college in Bakshi Ka Talab, to spread the message of yoga to as many people as possible.
The Kartikeya Social Development Foundation consistently organizes such awareness campaigns, like the previous dengue awareness campaign conducted in the rural areas of Lucknow. The Foundation believes that such programs bring positive change in society and inspire people to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
