Kartikaya Social Development Foundation Attends as Director Emphasizes: Nation First and Patriotism Through Action
Lucknow, [August 15, 2025] — A solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere prevailed today at the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) headquarters as the 79th Independence Day was celebrated. Shri Pulkit Khare (IAS), the Mission Director, hoisted the National Flag with due reverence.
The significant occasion saw the presence of Ms. Priya Singh, Additional Mission Director, along with other officers and employees of the Mission, who offered a salute to the flag during the National Anthem. The event was also graced by the presence of the Kartikaya Social Development Foundation (KSDF), underscoring its commitment to social development in partnership with UPSDM.
Mission Director’s Inspiring Address
In his inspiring address, Mission Director Shri Pulkit Khare emphasized the idea of ‘Nation First’ (Rashtra Sarvopari) and encouraged those present to convey the true spirit of patriotism to society through their actions.
He stated, “The nation comes first, and the spirit of patriotism must be conveyed to society through our actions (Karma).”
Shri Khare called for patriotism to transcend mere slogans, urging its integration into daily life. He conveyed the message that we can deliver the message of true patriotism by:
- Performing good deeds (Karma)
- Helping the needy
- Introducing children to our culture and heritage
He further added, “It is our duty to take this message far and wide so that the spirit of patriotism remains awakened in society.”
Commitment of UPSDM and Partner Organizations
On this occasion, the Kartikaya Social Development Foundation reiterated its commitment to advancing UPSDM’s goals in the area of skill development and social upliftment. The ceremony served as an inspiring moment for the Mission’s officials and partners, encouraging them to contribute towards building an empowered and self-reliant nation through skills.
The event concluded with the distribution of sweets, followed by a collective pledge to work towards building a developed and strong Uttar Pradesh.
